Tanja Krone is a director, musician and performer. In her work, she transforms art into a space of possibility, seeks out forms of communal engagement, and explores the supposed poetry of the documentary as the textual foundation for her artistic investigations. She is the inventor and co-founder of the world’s largest all-female rock band, youth Salvation Armies and Cities of Women*, and loves to talk to REAL people, for example about getting involved. In 2023, she stood as a candidate for the office of Lord Mayor in Mannheim, thereby gaining expertise in unfamiliar territory, which she now enjoys sharing with everyone in various formats. There are many important (relevant) projects, but unfortunately no awards so far.
Špela Mastnak is a Slovenian freelance percussionist based in Frankfurt am Main working mainly in the field of various musical, theatrical and interdisciplinary projects. She is a member of Ensemble NAMES and works closely and regularly with Ensemble Modern, No Borders Orchestra, HR Symphonieorchester. She has collaborated closely with theatre directors such as Ulrich Rasche, Claudia Bauer, Heiner Göbbels, Dragan Živadinov, Jan-Philipp Stange and artists such as Richard Tognetti, Helga Davis, Meg Stuart. Špela has appeared in various music and theatre festivals in Europe, Asia and South America.
Having grown up in the Swabian Alb around the turn of the millennium, Maria Costantino naturally found herself in Chemnitz – later to become the European Capital of Culture – in 2012. There, she first studied, then dabbled in the arts, and has been performing regularly with the group Power Plush since 2019. Since then, they have released several recordings, most recently their second album, “Love Language”. Last year, with “Songs of (In-)Securities” and all those involved, the group explored musical theatre in the context of (in)security.
Johanna-Yasirra Kluhs works as a dramaturg with various artist collectives, directors and choreographers. She served as co-director of the Favoriten Festival in 2014 and has worked as a dramaturg for various independent production companies. She is a co-founder of the Ost-West-AG and the Future Now festival in Wuppertal. With the support of the Kunststiftung NRW, she is currently conducting a dramaturgical research dialogue with colleagues from Yaoundé, Douala and Brazzaville on narrative strategies, festival economics and new forms of intercontinental interconnection.
Emma Rönnebeck was born in Magdeburg and studied acting at the Charlottenburg Drama School from 1995 to 1999. In 2001, she graduated from the Comedy School in Cologne with a diploma in comedy. From 2000 to 2007, she worked as a freelancer in theatre and comedy productions. From 2008 to 2011, she was a member of the ensemble at the Centraltheater Leipzig. Since then, she has been working freelance again on various stages. From 2019 to 2021, she was a member of the ensemble at the Volksbühne Berlin. She has been working freelance again since 2021. She has worked with directors including Claudia Bauer, Lucia Bihler, Mirko Borscht, Marie Bues, Alexander Eisenach, Herbert Fritsch, Rainald Grebe, Sebastian Hartmann, Sascha Hawemann, Albrecht Hirche, Tanja Krone, Martin Laberenz, Mareike Mikat, Malte Schlösser and Jakob Weiss. She has also done some film, radio and television work. Otherwise, she likes to sit outside and watch you as you walk past.
Amelie Neumann, also known as burgund t brandt, creates installations, performances and compositions at the intersection of visual and auditory perception for theatre, film, radio and performances. With an academic background in Integrated Design and Sound Studies, she explores environmental histories, acoustic ecologies and intersubjective relationships between humans and non-human beings in her research-oriented practice. btb is a member of the artist collective PARA and the electroacoustic duo Nadelør, and is co-director of the Seanaps Festival in Leipzig. Her works have been presented in the context of sound and media art at venues including: ZiMMT Leipzig, Akademie der Künste Berlin, Grassi Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Panke Gallery, Centro Párraga, Centro Negra and Stiftung Zollverein. Theatre works and performances have been staged at venues including Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm, Theaterhaus Frankfurt, Theaterdiscounter Berlin, the European Academy of Arts in Trier, Lichthoftheater Hamburg, Frappant Galerie and Kunstraum Ortloff.
Kathrin Krumbein studied Applied Cultural Studies at the University of Hildesheim, spent a guest semester at the Braunschweig University of the Arts, obtained a postgraduate certificate in Museum Studies from New York University, worked as a freelance visual artist and set designer in theatre and film, including for Theater Luzern, Schauspiel Basel, Schauspiel Düsseldorf, Schauspiel Hannover, Kammerspiele München, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Staatstheater Aachen, Volksbühne Berlin, the National Theatre and National Opera in Athens, Schauspielhaus Wien, Theatre Antalya and others; Head of Artistic Design at Theaterhaus Jena and Schauspiel Hannover; until 2017, design/dramaturgy/management at hirche/krumbein productions; Krumbein lives in Berlin.
